Animal Hospital to Open at OakLeaf Plantation

May 18th, 2006 — OakLeaf Plantation will soon be home to the area's newest veterinary practice, the Animal Hospital at OakLeaf Plantation. Situated on the border of Duval and Clay Counties, OakLeaf Plantation is a 6,400-acre, master-planned community, which has become one of the fastest-growing, fastest-selling developments in the northeast Florida region.

The Animal Hospital at OakLeaf Plantation will be located on one acre land along Merchants Way, just off of Argyle Forest Boulevard, near the new Watson Realty building behind Walgreens. On this site, Dr. Glenda Wiechman plans to erect a 5,000 square-foot building, wherein full-service veterinary care will be provided. The Animal Hospital at OakLeaf Plantation will also feature 23 indoor boarding runs and a separate cat-boarding facility.

"Pets are such a significant part of family life at OakLeaf. The Animal Hospital at OakLeaf Plantation will be a welcome addition to the community, where residents can receive quality medical care for their animals close to home. This new facility will further complete the vision of Northeast Florida's New Hometown," said Deanna Cope, Director of Marketing for The Hutson Companies.

The Animal Hospital at OakLeaf Plantation is anticipated to open in this December. Dr. Wiechman's web site for the Animal Hospital at OakLeaf Plantation is under development at www.oakleafvet.com. Check the site periodically for the latest updates.

OakLeaf Plantation features more than 1,400 acres of preservation area; two multimillion dollar amenity centers; five planned schools; two retail village centers; 5.8 million square feet of commercial, office and industrial space and 15 miles of walking and biking paths. OakLeaf has set the standard for master-planned communities and has maintained a strong foundation of family-friendly development practices, creating a unique natural, residential and commercial environment.
